Straight from the heart

I guess I lied, my appointment was today, and we got to hear Sesame's heartbeat for the first time! It was really exciting, but it kind of made me laugh. It was so loud and fast and coming right from my belly like it was no big deal! There's something living in there! It was beating at a whopping 164 beats per minute. I want to buy one of those stethescopes so I can have one at home. Just a reminder that she's there. I hadn't been to the doctor in 7 weeks and I was ready for some hardcore evidence that there's a baby in there! Well, I'm satisfied.

Actually.....that's a lie. I am dying to know the sex! I don't wanna wait another month! I get these emails every week that tell me how Sesame's develping this week (today starts week 15), and look what it said at the end: Finally, if you have an ultrasound this week, you may be able to find out whether your baby's a boy or a girl! (Don't be too disappointed if it remains a mystery, though. Nailing down your baby's sex depends on the clarity of the picture and on your baby's position. He or she may be modestly curled up or turned in such a way as to "hide the goods.") Why couldn't the doctor have just snuck a little ultrasound and tried? It's a good thing I checked my email AFTER the appt. :) So we're on countdown until November 5th. Stay tuned! Oh, and thank you for all your comments and emails! Love you all!!!
