Grady's 2 (months) old!

It's already been two months! Time is flying. Grady had a good 2 month birthday with his little birthday monkey. We really missed daddy this weekend though since he was up in Napa at a bachelor party. 4 days has never seemed so long! It was the first time the G man and I have stayed overnight alone. Of course everything was fine though, and Grandma & Grandpa Dake came on Saturday! Luckily, starting on his 2 month bday exactly, Grady's been skipping the 2 o'clock feeding and sleeping 8-9 hours straight. Love it! I hope this continues!!!
He had his 2 month Dr. appt today. Here's the stats: 11 lbs 15 oz (50th percentile) and 23 3/4 inches long (75 percentile). His head's growing perfectly too...don't remember the measurement, I'm sure it's just a number to all of you anyway! So he is doing just great. Both the nurse and doctor commented on how mellow and happy he was. UNTIL the shots of course! So sad. I didn't cry though, although the tears were there in my eyes. He did an amazingly job good of recovering and was asleep before we got to the car. He's been in and out of sleep since then too. I think the combo of Tylenol and the shots may keep him sleepy for awhile. He's such a tough guy!
Here's some pics of my parents babysitting on Saturday night. I went to a wedding and was gone form 4:30-10:30. My longest time away yet! I had a good time, but have learned my lesson to not call home and check-in. My dad reported to me that he had been crying pretty much constantly since I had left (3 hours earlier). Ugh! I was so worried after that. But I knew he was in good hands. Poor guy gets fussy in the evenings, and he has suddenly seemed to notice this past week when I am not there. He's always been so good about going to just about any one, but he's suddenly become much more aware of my whereabouts. I don't want him to be that baby that won't go to other people....but I have to admit it feels good to be needed by him! I need him too! I actually was anxious for him to wake up that night to feed so he'd see me and know I hadn't abandoned him!

Mommy loves you Grady! We won't leave you again......at least not until this coming Saturday when we're going out for my 30th birthday! :) Hope you're up for it Grandma and Grandpa!
