Field Trips, Baby Food, & Back to School

The past two weeks have flown by, but I have had fun hanging with my little man. This past week we took a "field trip" to the aquarium. I thought Grady would like the fish. My friend Amy came with us, and we had a great time! How is this kid so lucky to be able to live so close to the most beautiful scenery? Gotta love La Jolla!
G loved looking at the lights, coral, fishies, and other people! :)
Ahhhh! Shark! Don't worry, he really wasn't afraid, this is just how the pic turned out. We protected him. Haha.
Now you might be thinking that I am preparing some festive Halloween treat, but really I decided while on break that I would try to make homemade baby food for G. It's actually very easy (steam & puree), and I conducted a taste test- homemade vs. store bought. The homemade stuff honestly tastes much better, and is much cheaper to make. I know exactly what's in it, and how fresh it is. I'm trying to buy more organic stuff for us and G. So we'll see how long I keep up with this. Luckily, you can just freeze it in ice cube trays, and they pop out as convenient little one ounce servings. Grady's mastered sweet potatoes, carrots, and peas. Sweet potatoes are definitely the favorite. Peas are definitely the least fav, but he powers through them anyway! This is his peas face.
We went walking this weekend in Coronado and decided to try Grady in his stroller without his infant carrier for the first time. He looked so little, but he loved looking around at everything!

The boy has become sooooo squirmy. He won't let me change his diaper, dress him, hold him even sometimes, without a fight. He laughs and thinks it's so funny! Most of the time I do too. I know he probably won't like this pic when he's older, but that little booty is so cute! I took this after a good fight the other day. Hopefully he won't do this too badly in the morning tomorrow when I have to go back to work! Tear, sniff, sniff. Ohhhh, so early. 5:30am will be here soon. So goodnight! Hope you all had a good weekend!

PS- Almost forgot to inform you. Grady has been saying "Mama" all weekend long! Well, it's really like Mamamamamamamamama! I also am not sure he's really saying it to me, but I like to think so. He mostly does it when whining, so it seems aimed at me! :) I think someone's a little jealous....Dada? Will try to capture on video!

Jeff and I are going to the aquarium in a couple weeks in Monterey. And that IS a very interesting shade of green...I'm not a huge fan of peas either Grady!
