First, a few weeks ago we threw a baby shower for Ronna and baby Penn (who should be here ANY day now!) We had a great time with friends that traveled from all over CA and as far as Seattle & Buffalo! Ronna looked adorable and we all had a good time showering her and catching up with one another.

The following weekend was Mother's Day. Look what my sweet boy made for me! Also an adorable picture frame which is on my desk at work.

My boys took me La Jolla Shores Hotel for breakfast. It was beautiful- right on the water and yummy food. Grady was a good boy too and ate up his pancakes (i think this is now his #1 favorite food).

We then headed up to Laguna to see my mom and Grandma for a late lunch.

Here we are at a Padres game the night before Mother's Day actually. Grady loved it, and keeps his "ball ticket" in his backpack to look at and admire from time to time. We will have to go back soon. We even got to sit with Maymie and her parents since the game was not too crowded!


The the NEXT weekend was Derek's birthday! We celebrated with ice cream cake and a night on the town (that brought us home before 10pm.... but hey, I'm pregnant and we're both at the end of the school year! We're tired!)


Finally, we ended Derek's b-day weekend with a trip to the zoo. This was VERY cool because we got to meet up with my friend Jen and her family, and take a behind-the-scenes tour of the elephants, since Jen's friend is an elephant trainer there. It was a great experience! This is our new friend Cha-Cha!


PS- this is not a real elephant :) and yes.... Grady brought a flashlight to the zoo. You know, just in case!
