We're ready for you Baby Kendall!

I've been home from work for a week now, and it's been very nice to get caught up on things around the house, and really focus on the arrival of Baby Kendall. We are getting so excited to meet her! I can't wait to see what she looks like, to snuggle her, and smell her baby smell. So now we are playing the waiting game. I am feeling very big and ready to pop! I have been getting a lot of contractions, but not the "real ones" yet. I feel like it's going to be any day now, but who knows! I'm starting to get a little anxious, and can't stop thinking about when she'll get here! So if you are listening Baby Girl..... we are READY for you!

I did go to the doctor yesterday and here's what she said:
  • I'm 39 weeks as of yesterday (next week I'll start non-stress tests & discuss having to induce....but she says she doesn't "think" we'll need that!)
  • I'm 2 cm dilated, 80% effaced- so things have started!
  • She "stripped my membranes" in hopes of speeding things up for us.
None of these things mean much though, and as every book and website I've read says... all of these things mean that I could be hours, days, or weeks away from going into labor! Awesome. So we leave it up to Baby Kendall to decide when she'll join us, but I am hoping that my next blog will included her first pics. Keep your fingers crossed!!!

Me at 38 weeks....don't think I look much different today- I am at maximum capacity!!!

Grady likes to give Baby Kendall kisses, and asks when we will see her!

We're ready for you too, Kendall! We can't wait to spoil you like your Aunt and Uncle should. And Melissa, I was just thinking about calling you and seeing how you're doing. We love and miss you guys!

Ugg, the waiting is the worst part - no wait, the not sleeping is. Enjoy the wait! :) (oh and I remembr all that fun membrane stripping- running - jumping... those babies certainly arrive just when they want to!) Can't wait to meet little Kendall.
