Kernville and New Years

We headed up to my parents' place in Kernville after Christmas to celebrate New Years, Jordan's Bday, and hopefully to play in some snow! Well.... the weather gods were not with us on this one, so we did without snow, but we still had fun playing with cousins, exploring nature, and spending some quality time with the fam!

If you look closely, there's a little bit of ice behind Grady and Sofia.

We drove up as high as we could, and this was about all we could find. Oh well, hopefully next year! Don't worry though, Grady still rocked his spiderman snow boots the whole weekend.

We made cake pops. Yum-Yum!

Warmed ourselves by the fire.

We threw some rocks in the river.

And played at the park.

K got another bath in the sink. :)

We went on Grady & Kendall's first hike. Grady was taking a pic of Derek with his Buzz Lightyear phone as he took our picture. He took lots of nature photos with Buzz.


And on New Year's Eve we celebrated Jordan's 13th birthday. With a serious stack of waffles and ice cream.


It was a great trip. We are truly blessed!
