Grady-isms

So there are a few reasons I blog, but mainly to:
  1. Keep friends and family members updated on our lives
  2. To keep track of what we've been doing, particularly with the kids
I have found that you can get these blogs published, so I have done that the past 2 years, and turned my blog into a kind of family scrapbook, since I don't really have time to do scrapbooks every year too. I love it. I love to look back at them and read about what we were doing and see the photos. Grady, even at age 3, loves to look at them and talk about where we were and what we were doing. I'm excited to have these for the kids to look back at as they grow up.

With that said, I am going to try to make an effort to include a few more of the things that happen in everyday life that I don't want to forget. Like just in the past few days, I've noticed that when Grady says please, it is now "please" with an "l", instead of "peas," like it's been his whole life. I mean, he's turning into a man right in front of our eyes! :) And I don't want to forget all of the cute little things.

Here are some of the Grady-isms that I hope never go away...well at least until he's 4 or so...
  • "Goose"= juice
  • "hammerburg" = hamburger
  • "mazagine"= magazine
  • "Kennel"= Kendall
  • "Papa Build" = Papa Bill
  • "hoc-a-doctor" = helicopter
  • "thank you'm" = thank you
  • "Maymie"= Amy

And here are a few things our Big Boy has been up to:
Being like daddy & friend Drew- he loves his new Giants hat & cheering on the Giants!

Being silly- this boy is turning into a comedian! Oh, and he loves his baby sister!

Swim Lessons! He took swim lessons for the last two weeks in June. He loved it. And even though he didn't always respond to his teachers and prove his skills there, he was obviously listening and taking everything in because he's swimming like a fish now with us in our pool!
Loving swim lessons. The last day (and only day we were allowed to take pics).
With his "favorite" teacher.

Lastly, one of the most major things is that he is officially potty-trained. I haven't taken any more pics of this lately- I'm sparing you. We had kind of given up when we tried a few months ago. He just wasn't ready. Then we tried again this summer, and it was such a difference. He was obviously "ready!" Now he's official- going in the big potty: at home, at Sea World, at the park.... he's got it down! And not one accident the whole time. He's such a big boy and we're so proud of him!
