I'm 30.

This past week I hit the big 3-0. Some people I know are sad/depressed to turn 30, and I thought about it for a second, but then decided that I have nothing to be upset about. I have accomplished a lot in the past 10 years that I am proud of:

• graduated college
• got a job...and still have that job (which I love most of the time)
  
• went to Europe (Scotland-Ireland)
  
• finished my master's degree
• got married to my wonderful husband
  
• went to Europe with my husband (France-Italy)
  
• bought a house
• had a baby
• AND I have a great group of girlfriends that live in SoCal that I can always count on!
  

I have nothing to be depressed about. So although I will miss my 20's, I am excited for my 30's. I just don't want to think about the next decade....now 40 sounds OLD! :)

My wonderful husband arranged a party at one of my fav bars called Wine Steals in Hillcrest. We got our own private room there and a bartender to pour us wine. Beforehand we had dinner at a very festive place called Baja Betty's. We had a great time! Here's a few pics.
Grandma and Grandpa Dake watched Grady whild we went out and he was MUCH better this time! Good thing or else we were going to have to find new over-night babysitters, which are hard to come by! :)

Here is a video that Derek took (you can tell it's Derek because there's no talking) of Grady on his playmat. He's been loving this thing for a while now, but is becoming much more active and can swat at the toys. This thing keeps him busy for a good 20 minutes at a time, many times a day. It's amazing. Grady thinks so too. He's best friends with that octopus.



He is really so much more aware now. Here we are enjoying a bedtime story together. I love this picture.
This boy comes everywhere with us. Here's a sample of what he's been up to in just the past few days:

• Fri: went to the Apple store with Daddy (yay! I got an Iphone for my bday!) & out to lunch with Aunt Mandy
• Sat: went out to breakfast with Sarah & Nick, babysat by Grandparents
• Sun: out to breakfast with Grandparents, & went to a BBQ in the afternoon
• Mon: went to Soak City (water park) to visit Mommy's class, drove to Temecula and went to the dentist, went to Grandma & Grandpa's house, & went out to dinner
  
• Tues: went to baby/mama class at the gym, went out to an early dinner/ bday celebration for a friend, & went to Casillas' 6th grade graduation

NO WONDER THIS BOY IS TIRED! Sleep well Baby G!
