We survived...

  • Mama going back to work
  • Grady's 4th month shots
  • A tarantula in the pool
And we are better people now because of it all. I will continue to get a pay check. Grady will be immune to polio and other horrible diseases. We now know that tarantulas, gulp, yes tarantulas live in our backyard.

What an action packed week! I made it through the first week of school (although there were many tears- mine not his). It was difficult, but everyday has been getting easier. It's hard not to rush right out at 2:15 and come home to see my baby! I've definitely been getting home much earlier than I used to. Luckily I have a really nice class... let's hope they stay that way.

Derek and Grady however had a great week. They have a good time together. Grady still thinks his daddy is just the funniest guy ever. I think he's a great stay-at-home dad. We had some yummy home-cooked meals this week, and it's not so bad leaving the G-man here in the morning with his daddy....I'm sure we'll have more tears (mine, not his) in another week when I have to drop him off at the babysitter's in the morning! Now if I could just teach Derek to clean, we'd be all set! :)

Grady also had his 4th month check-up (which included a few shots), sad. Here's the stats:
weight: 14 lbs. 11 oz. (50th percentile)
length: 26 inches (90th percentile)
He continues to shoot up...he's gonna be tall and skinny like his daddy I think! The doc says he's looking great, and he was really a good sport with those shots. It hurts my heart to hear those cries, but he was OK a few short minutes later. He's a tough guy!

Here's the highlights of the week:

Melissa he's such a cutie pit...good job to you two!! He's sitting up in the bumbo so well. I shower Tyler how that looks so he can learn ;) the exersaucer gives me a 2 hr break during the day (in 2-3 intervals). Hopefully Grady loves his just as much. He's growing like a weed, such a great 4 mo update. I can relate to your feelings about the tranchula, I found a scorpion in our garage!! Luckily it was dead but it wasn't far from the entrance to our house ;(
