Happy Birthday GRADY!!!!!!

I can't believe that my baby is ONE! But March 29th came around again today, and here he is- the big one-year old!!!

This morning we started with a couple of presents from mama & dada, and a big breakfast before we headed out for the day. Grady tried scrambled eggs for the first time and was a big fan. Then we were off to the Wild Animal Park!
We hit-up the petting corral. Grady wasn't quite sure what to think. He never really pet the deer on his own, but he did pet a little girl's head that was next to us instead. It was pretty funny!

He didn't get scared at least!

Showing his "Da" a little love. By the way- Grady LOVES to scream "Da" at his dada. It's about the only word he really has down, and he uses it quite often. And quite loudly!

Since we were in Escondido, we had a late lunch at Stone Brewery. That's where Grady said he wanted to go of course. He ate a good amount of my stir-fry with me. He loved the tofu, carrots, and broccoli. He's our healthy little eater. It's pretty funny....he really won't eat chicken and turkey. He keeps spitting it out....but he love himself some lentils, edamame, and tofu. He's our natural-born vegetarian! Interesting taste for a one-year-old if you ask me!

We also took him to the beach this weekend since the weather was SO NICE! It's really the first time he's been down the the water and in the sand. He wasn't very excited when we first got there. Actually, that's putting it mildly. He was petrified of the water and the sand! He wouldn't put his feet down!
After a little warming up, and some fun sand toys, he began to enjoy playing in the sand. Actually, he began to love the sand!
He would not stand or sit near the water though! He had a death-grip on me! We'll just have to keep taking him to the beach I guess.

Isn't it tough being a 1-year old living in San Diego? This boy has it rough. We had a great birthday weekend together and are so proud of our smart, adorable, wonderful little guy! Happy birthday baby! Mama and Dada love you so much!
