Our birthday boy

On March 29, 2014 our little boy turned five. I've never really been sad for his birthdays, just happy, but this one hit me a little bit harder than the rest. A five-year old goes to kindergarten- he's a kid, not a baby, toddler, preschooler. Just a big old kid. Of course I'm so proud of our big boy and excited for him to go to school and learn and grow. But he's sure not a baby anymore!

He had a baseball game on his actual birthday, which he was NOT into. It was first thing in the morning and he just wanted to go home and open presents. But he got through it an shared bday snack bags with his teammates. Then we came home to a few gifts. Just small gifts this year because the real gift was....

 

 Two nights at the Disneyland Hotel and a day at Disneyland/ CA Adventure! We were all so excited since we has never stayed there before, and we were not let down. We had a blast. We hit up the pool right away and went to the Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney the first night to start the trip off right.
 

 

We then got to CA Adventure by 7(ish)am to get in the park an hour early since we were hotel guests. 

We took the big boy on Tower of Terror and Space Mountain for his first time. He's so brave when it come to rides. He loved both! 

Overall we had an amazing trip. I definitely want to stay at the hotel again (after we save up enough, lol). I've always loved Disneyland, but it's just a whole new level of fun with two little kids. We are so lucky that our Aunt Susie always hooks us up! Thanks for hanging with us all day Mom and Susie! :)

And to top everything off, daddy went shopping first thing in the morning to get there when the store opened to buy the sold-out Olaf dolls for both the kids! Thanks Dad! Best birthday ever!
