Summertime!

Summertime is here which means that the 3 of us are home together. It is so nice. In case you're wondering what we do most of the day, this is it:

We sit around ooooing and ahhhing over that son of ours. We tell each other just how cute he is. We tell him just how cute he is. And so on. We take him on walks. We've done a little shopping. It's been nice. Leisurely. It sure is nice to have Derek home. I wish it could be like this always!!! G's been going to bed around 8pm, waking up at 5 or 6 am to eat, and then sleeping again until 8:30ish. It's GREAT. I'm afraid to have another child already because what if they don't sleep through the night like Grady? I really enjoy my sleep and am so glad that we're pretty getting normal night's of it again!

This is what else Grady's been doing lately: seeing how many fingers he can put in his mouth at once. I've seen him get 7. He's working on the full 10. This pic has only 3. He was distracted. :)
We are having fun reading to him as part of his bedtime routine. He really looks and listens...for a few minutes at least. He loves "The Very Hungry Catepillar" and usually makes it through "Goodnight Moon" too! We're leaving on Saturday for our first vacation with the little guy. Road trip! Up to Napa via Santa Barbara & San Luis Obispo. Then on to Kernville. We are excited and a little anxious. Hoping that G continues to do well in the car. We've never driven more than an hour....but he always falls asleep in the car, so hoping it will be a smooth ride! I'm sure we'll have plenty of pics to share when we get back. Wish us luck!

Hope the road trip goes well! I'm not sure if I'll actually get to see you guys up in Kernville or not. Depends on how bad traffic is when I get out of class on Thurs night if I'll come up Thurs or Fri. *fingers crossed* I'll make it up on Thurs night. Drive safely!

This is Andrea's husband Dougo. I would like to comment on the fact that I love the KRBC shirt worn by Derek.

Big fan of KRBC and the trails around the valley (dirt biking).
