Grammy's Visit

Grady's Grammy (aka Derek's Mama- Toni) came to visit last weekend for the 3-day MLK Jr. weekend. It was so nice to have her here. Grady got to stay home on Friday with her all day, and we got to have such a relaxing and fun long weekend! So glad you could come and hangout with us Toni! We miss you already!

Auntie Mandy brought over the little boy that she babysits for, Austin. Grady went nuts. He was so excited to have another little boy here to play (he's about 18/19 months). It was kind of like how he gets with a dog. He followed Austin around and mauled him in a very friendly sort of way. I think Austin was a little afraid of him. :)

Sunday morning we took both boys to the zoo for a few hours. That's the beauty of having a yearly pass- you can just stop in for a few hours at your leisure. Both babies loved it. Although I thought Grady would like the petting zoo with the goats and sheep since he likes doggies so much, he was pretty nervous and clung on to us. He did not want to touch them!
Guess they're a little young for posing in the cut-outs. We sure thought it was funny though!
Zoomed in. Ha ha!

So we have pretty much locked down all of the cupboards, but Grady found one that was still open. It just stores plastic tupperware stuff though, so I let him go for it. His favorite thing to do now is get into anything he can (cupboards, drawers etc.) and just pull everything out one by one. OK.....knock on wood here, but we are two nights in a row of sleeping 11 hours straight. Let's keep this up Grady!!! Maybe the sound of rain lulls him back to sleep? We've sure been having lots of it lately! Tonight he fell asleep to the sound of the pounding hail! Crazy weather!
