Hooray for Washington and Lincoln! I had a 4-day weekend and Derek had a 3-day. So nice to be home with the G-Man! He was so fun this weekend....he's getting so old and has so much fun doing everything, Derek and I are always laughing!
G and I went shopping at the outlets on Friday- oops! Spent a good amount of $ on him for his upcoming birthday! Got some great deals though. We have picked a day for the party. Saturday, April 10th works best for his cousins and family, so mark your calendars! His b-day of course is March 29th....can't believe it's only a month and a half away!
We also took G to his first SDSU basketball game this weekend. He had fun. Lots of loud noises and things to look at. He was very squirmy though and wanted to crawl all around though, so we didn't make it through the whole game. His fav part was that Amy shared her apple with him, and I think he ate more than she did. That boy can bite pieces of apple off the core now! Here he is enjoying another new favorite....broccoli!
We had a nice Valentine's Day- walked around in Coronado and had lunch at the Coronado Brewing Co. Didn't take any pics, but it was a BEAUTIFUL day! Here's G with his Daddy when we got home in his V-Day outfit.

He also got some cute gifts from his Grammy & Poppa. An adorable book that just about made me cry when I read it to him, and a cute little stuffed animal which he toted around with his for a full day. He loved them. Thanks G & P!
OK, I just have to include this story- Valentine's night Derek made us a wonderful Jamaican meal (since that's where we went on our honeymoon), and we thought that we'd go in the hot tub since we haven't touched it in probably 5 months. I though I'd be nice and turn the heater in the hot tub on.....but we're still learning with our pool (I know....you'd think we'd get it by now! But every time we think we have it down, winter comes again and then we're not sure exactly what does what again). So after it had been on for about 1/2 an hour, we headed upstairs to check the temp, AND the hottub was completely empty! I hadn't turned on the heat, I had somehow drained it! We have never done that before. It was so funny! The looks on our faces! Luckily, it had just drained into the pool and we flipped the switch back and it started filling right back up. A little early April Fool's joke on Feb 14th!
We used to think that Grady would be walking by his first bday party, but lately I haven't been so convinced. But then this weekend he showed us he can do this (see video below)....so maybe walking isn't too far off? :) Kenzi & Jeff- your x-mas gift to G is now in full effect!
