G's first quinceanera

This past weekend Grady attended his first quinceanera. Not like Derek and I have been to many- only one each (and I think we were about 15 when we went) but he had a good experience. He got to see his babysitter's daughter's lovely ceremony and have dinner with daycare friends. The event was a bit long for his attention span (OK a lot long for his attention span), and Lisa forgot to fill me in on "Mexican time"- the fact that the invitation said 2:30....yet no one even showed up until closer to 3:30, but overall it was a fun par-tay!

Here's G dancing up a storm.

Trying to get a good family pic.... but G still doesn't ever want to pose for the camera.

Grady and Lisa (his babysitter)

Lisa's daughter and son- Janelle and Drew

Janelle's dance with her father

Chillin' with daycare peeps: Erykah and Priscilla.

All dressed up!

So it seems that every couple of weeks or so Grady gets a new "obsession." Right now it is drawing. The second he walks in the door, he wants to "Daw." He knows where we keep any and all pens, markers, crayons, etc. Nothing is safe anymore as he can now open all the drawers in the house- he's getting so tall! His preferred medium is markers, so that's been a struggle since he gets it all over himself as well. I'm trying to get him on the crayon bandwagon- but he's just not as happy with a crayon in hand. I caught him in this pose Sunday morning and just couldn't believe how much of a big boy he's become! Love our little Picasso!

Meliss-They sell markers that only work on specific paper. Get some, they are the best! We are taking a set for each child on the plane. Promise you won't be disappointed! Miss you guys, when we get back let's have a play date!
