We spent Thanksgiving up in Napa with Derek's family. We had a great time visiting with everyone, enjoying the brisk, cool.... no, COLD weather, and of course eating delicious food!
So we were showing Grady pictures of Grammy & Poppa for a while before our trip, and talking about them, and having him repeat their names. I wasn't sure if our "studying" would pay off, but as soon as Grady saw his grandparents as we were walking through the airport to meet them, he yelled out "Poppa!" over and over. It was a great moment. So cute. He reached right for Grammy too, but had a tougher time with her name- it's funny, it sounds more like "daddy," but that's OK by her! :)
G with his Grammy & Aunt Mandy
We spent Thanksgiving day at Derek's Aunt Terri and Uncle Jon's house. It was a great day, and we had a delicious meal. There were a lot of people! One of the biggest Thanksgiving dinners I think I've ever attended. It was fun to have so many people together- and so many little ones!
I would like to tell you that Grady loved his Thanksgiving feast- but he was way too pumped up after hanging with his cousins all day. I think he ate maybe 3 bites of his roll. Oh well, maybe next year!
