Merry Christmas!

Yes, I know it's January 10th.... but I've gotten a little behind on the blogging, and now it's just intimidating! But here goes- I am going to recap Christmas today and work on the rest soon. So Merry Christmas everyone!

I'll start with Breakfast with Santa at the Wild Animal Park. This turned out to be a lot of fun, and even though it was supposed to pour rain that day, it barely sprinkled- leaving us with a not very crowded breakfast, and an even less crowded WAP.

They brought animals around for us to see up close and personal.

Look what Santa arrived in!

Sooooo, we loved Santa from afar, but not so much up-close. Oh well, maybe next year!

At least Santa brought us cool gifts and CANDY!!!!

Grady's favorite thing right now are "eephants." So we spent quite a bit of time checking out the babies and their mamas. Don't you love that face? Say cheese!

He was very brave petting the deer too. No one else was brave enough to go play in that muddy mess besides us. :)
We will definitely be making this trip a yearly tradition!

It was then on to the annual Brockett family Christmas at the Dake household. My poor mama had her appendix out a few days before, so we got there a day early to try to help. She's doing well now! And everyone pitched in to help make dinner and everything run smoothly!

The kids- wish this had turned out better.... could have been such a great pic! But they're still cute :)

Opening presents!
Jordan got the books he wanted, AND a Barbie convertible! Just kidding Jordan...

Eying dessert- especially Betty's fancy trifle. So yummy!
Jeff and Kenzi enjoying dessert.

On to Christmas Eve!!!

We got to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas with both sides of the family this year. We've made it a bit of a tradition to go to Coronado on Christmas Eve and eat at the restaurant across from the Hotel Del.
The Hotel Del all lit up!

In the lobby of the Del.

One gift on Christmas Eve- "The Night Before Christmas!"
Christmas Morning- Ohhh so many presents!
He got the hang of it pretty quickly.
Legos!!!
It was a Just Dance Christmas.

Silly Grandpa!

AND silly mama!

Love you doggy!

All that unwrapping...Grady was in need of a nutrition break!

A potty? You got me a potty for Christmas?

Bow butt.
Christmas dinner was delicious! Derek's bird on the bbq worked out perfectly!

Playing with new toys...
And trying on new clothes...
We had a fabulous Christmas. Thank you to our families for coming to our house and spending it with us! Oh, and also for spoiling Grady rotten! He has so many new toys and clothes!
Hope you all had a great Christmas with your families and friends!
