January 2014

Before we had to go back to school, the kids and I hit up Balboa Park with Amy and Ronna for "free Tuesday." Every Tuesday they open a few museums for SD county residents. This particular Tuesday was the Natural History Museum (dinosaurs) and the Reuben H Fleet Center (hands on for kids). Sounded great, but let me tell you, it also sounded great to every other resident of SD county, because there were tons of people there! It was fun, but a little overwhelming for the little ones (and maybe the adults too). We stayed for a bit and then the kids ran around the fountain outside until they were ready to go. It was a beautiful day!

We got haircuts with our friend Landon before back to school time too!

Snuck in trip to the beach- did I mention that we we're having beautiful weather in SD? In January? :)

Then on MLK Jr Day weekend, we surprised the kids with a night at the Legoland Hotel and a day at Legoland! They were really surprised and excited! We stayed on the Pirate floor, and I have to say, it was pretty awesome. Especially for the 5 and under crowd. Grady wanted to move in. Forever :)

Grady was a great little driver, but Kendall needs a bit more practice. She was supposed to be 3 years old to ride, but her driving skills gave her 2 year old self away.

Grady and Grandma on the same ride that they rode a few years back! Time flies!

A legoland HOTEL? Wha-what? I guess we'll be visiting and staying there in a few years! Looks like you had a blast!
